Superior National Forest defines the character of this northern landscape, which is dominated by a dense network of glacial lakes and connected waterways. Central to the area is Ojibway Lake, surrounded by small roads and residential spurs such as Ojibway Shores and Gray Jay Dr. The southern portion of the sheet is shaped by the wide path of the Kawishiwi River as it moves toward Lake One, a notable hub for the local drainage system.
