Fairmont Hot Springs serves as a prominent recreational hub in this valley south of Anaconda, featuring both the Fairmont RV Park and the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort Public Golf Course. The residential grid of Opportunity is laid out north of the springs, defined by a series of numbered and named streets such as Rickards St and N Dixon St. The landscape is a complex network of hydrological and industrial history, where Silver Bow Creek and its many tributaries, including Gregson Creek and Whitepine Creek, flow through the terrain.
