Padilla Mesa and several other prominent geologic landforms define this high-desert territory in the eastern portion of the county. The landscape is structured by a series of significant elevations including No Trail Mesa, Flat Mesa, and the distinct overlook at Hunters Point. Hydrological features are sparse in this arid environment, primarily represented by the seasonal drainage of Dinnebito Wash in the north and the localized Red Clay Spring.
