Ashley National Forest dominates this high-elevation landscape along the boundary of Duchesne and Uintah Counties. The terrain is defined by a dense network of alpine water bodies and drainages, notably the E Fork Whiterocks River and the Whiterocks River carving through the western slopes. Central to the area’s water management are the Paradise Park Reservoir and the Julius Park Reservoir, which support the region's complex hydraulic system alongside the Mosby Canal.
