Ashley National Forest dominates this high-altitude landscape where the boundary between Duchesne and Uintah counties follows the ridgelines of the Uinta Mountains. The area is defined by a dense concentration of alpine water bodies, including Paradise Park Reservoir, Mutton Lake, and the cluster of Kibah Lakes. These sources feed into complex drainages such as the Whiterocks River and the Dry Fork.
