The Colorado River serves as the primary artery and state boundary dividing Parker, Arizona from the California riverside communities of Earp, Bluewater, and Big River. This 2014 survey documents the complex water infrastructure of the lower desert, including the massive Colorado River Aqueduct and the Whipple Mountain Tunnel to the north, which channel water toward coastal cities. To the south, the Main Canal and Lateral Nineteen R illustrate the intensive irrigation network supporting agriculture throughout the Parker Valley.
