Reform and Paron anchor this 2014 survey of the Saline County uplands, where the eastern reaches of the Ouachita National Forest meet a complex network of timber roads and mountain peaks. The landscape is defined by the drainage basins of the Alum Fork Saline River and the N Fork Saline River, with the high waters of Lake Winona and Lake Sylvia serving as prominent landmarks. This era of the landscape is marked by an extensive system of Weyerhaeuser logging routes, such as Weyerhaeuser 24000 Rd, which cut through the ridges near Wildcat Mtn and Nancy Mtn. Local heritage is preserved at the Fowler Cem near the Pulaski County line, while geographic features like The Narrows and Reform Point highlight the distinct topography of the Ouachita foothills west of Little Rock.
