About this map

Guadalupe Mountains National Park dominates the eastern landscape of this West Texas survey, where the high desert meets the dramatic rise of the Guadalupe Mountains. The terrain transitions from the low-lying Salt Basin in the west through the namesake Patterson Hills into the rugged canyonlands of the park. A significant historical alignment, the Butterfield Trail is traced across the northern section, cutting through Bone Spring Draw near the Hudspeth and Culberson county line.
