The landscape is marked by industrial landmarks like the Commonwealth Mine and Stamp Mill near Pearce and the Copper Queen Mine at the base of Browns Peak. These hubs were connected by the Arizona Eastern R.R. and the Courtland Bisbee R.R., though the map uniquely notes a section of the Arizona Eastern was not in operation south of Kelton due to washouts.
