The settlement of Peetz serves as the focal point for this Logan County survey, showcasing a grid of streets including Main St and Shaw Ave as the community sits atop the high plains of Northeast Colorado. North of the town center, the Peetz Cem occupies a solitary position on the landscape. The surrounding terrain is defined by a series of intermittent drainage systems that reveal the local topography, such as Cow Cr in the north and the meandering path of Cottonwood Cr to the east. In the southern portion of the quadrangle, the landscape becomes more dissected as Corral Cr and E Lewis Cr cut through the plains, illustrating the transition between the flat upland plateaus and the more eroded breaks typical of this corner of the state.
