The Admiral Range defines the high-altitude topography of this southeastern Alaska region, where the steep ridgelines of the Tongass National Forest dominate the landscape. This 2024 survey captures a wilderness area shaped by glacial action and extreme elevation changes, notably marked by the prominent Twin Peaks in the central portion of the quadrangle. Most of the southern terrain is protected within the Stikine-Leconte Wilderness, an area characterized by its lack of roads and human infrastructure.
