Pierson Summit dominates this section of the Lincoln County high desert, where water sources dictate the sparse human footprint. The landscape is defined by its network of isolated water points, ranging from Tower Spring and Lower Tower Spring in the north to Willow Spring further south. These springs, alongside Buster Spring and Coal Burner Spring, historically provided critical waypoints in an otherwise arid basin.
