The Crow Wing River serves as the central corridor for this 2019 survey, marking the boundary between Cass Co and Morrison Co. The river valley is a focal point for settlement and memory, evidenced by a high density of burial sites such as Wildwood Cem, Sylvan Cem, and the Crow Wing River Cem. An exceptionally rare find on a modern topographic sheet is the individual Mrs Albert Schultz Grave, located north of Mud Lake.
