Pisinemo sits at a geographic crossroads in the Sonoran Desert, where several arterial routes like Indian Rte 21 and Indian Rte 28 converge near the Pisinimo Wash. The landscape is defined by its drainage patterns, with the Quijotoa Valley collecting seasonal runoff from San Simon Wash, Gu Vo Wash, and Hali Murk Wash. This 2018 survey documents a region characterized by dispersed settlements such as Peach Pu, Viason Chin, and Hali Murk, reflecting a traditional Tohono O'odham settlement pattern of small villages linked by a complex network of desert roads. The presence of Schuk Cowlik in the southwestern corner further illustrates the distribution of these communities across the arid flats, where watercourses dictate the historical and modern placement of infrastructure and habitation.
