Point Harbor marks the southern tip of the Currituck County peninsula where the Albemarle Sound meets the Atlantic waters of the coast. This narrow stretch of land is defined by a central residential corridor along US Route 158, connecting the small communities of Spot and Harbinger. The geography is characterized by numerous marshy projections into the sound, including Brock Island, Pig Point, and Sampson Point, while the interior landscape is dotted with local landmarks like the Chadwick Cem near the northern edge.
