The border between Curry County and Roosevelt County divides this high plains landscape, defining the transition between the townships of t1n r33e and t1n r34e. The terrain is characterized by a sparse network of section-line roads and the subtle drainage of Creek Y. This agricultural grid is anchored by a system of rural routes including Curry Road V and Curry Road U to the north, meeting the Roosevelt County line at N Roosevelt Road 3. The southern portion of the quadrangle shows the beginning of more varied topography near Baseline Rd, where the landscape is marked by numerous small depressions and basins common to the Llano Estacado. These features reflect the area's historical reliance on seasonal water catchments in an otherwise arid expanse of eastern New Mexico.
