Pueblo Peak and the high ridges of the Taos Mountains dominate this 2023 survey of the northern Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico. This landscape is defined by its deep drainages, including the prominent Rio Pueblo de Taos which flows through the center of the sheet, and numerous canyons such as Palo Encebado Canyon and Frijoles Canyon. The southern portion of the map is largely contained within the Carson National Forest, where a network of trails like the North Boundary Tr and Capulin Tr navigate the steep terrain between peaks like Ranchos Peak and Capulin Peak.
