Quinn Peak stands as a central high point in this high-elevation landscape where the Sequoia National Park and Sequoia National Forest meet. The terrain is defined by the massive spine of the Great Western Divide in the northeast, giving way to a network of alpine basins and watercourses. Significant hydrologic features including the Little Kern River, S Fork Kaweah River, and numerous glacial lake groups like Blossom Lakes and Maggie Lakes illustrate the drainage patterns of the Southern Sierra.
