Randlett serves as the focal point of this Uintah County landscape, situated at a junction of early twentieth-century infrastructure and desert water management. The community is defined by a complex network of irrigation systems, including the Ouray School Canal, the Henry-Jim Canal, and the S Fork Dry Gulch Canal, which divert water to sustain life on the arid plateaus. To the south, the Duchesne River carves a deep valley through the high desert, separating the settled areas from the expansive Leland Bench.
