Boise National Forest encompasses the high ridgelines and drainages of this area, where the border between Boise County and Ada County follows the prominent Boise Ridge. The terrain is defined by a series of significant peaks and passes, including Boise Peak, Eagleson Summit, and Aldape Summit, which separate the various gulches and creek systems. Water from North Fork Robie Creek and South Fork Robie Creek converges near the settlement of Robie Creek, while further north, Clear Creek and North Fork Clear Creek carve through the mountain landscape.
