Robinette Moutain and the high ridges of the Blue Mountains dominate this part of Washington, where the boundary between Walla Walla Co and Columbia Co follows the divide. The landscape is defined by deep drainage systems including the South Fork Touchet River, Wolf Fork, and Robinson Fork. These waterways have carved a series of named hollows such as Payne Hollow, Hogeye Hollow, and Dustin Hollow, which provided the primary pathways for early settlement and mountain access.
