Rochat Peak and the surrounding high country of the Saint Joe Divide dominate this part of the Idaho Panhandle. Straddling the boundary of Kootenai and Benewah counties, the landscape is defined by a series of prominent summits including Eagle Peak, Boise Peak, and Kootenai Peak. The drainage patterns are clearly established by Latour Cr and Rochat Cr, which carve through deep gulches like Blackrock Gulch.
