2011 Map of Rome

USGS Topo · Published 2011

About this map

The Ohio River carves a deep bend through the borderlands of Indiana and Kentucky, defining the life and geography of this riverine corridor. On the northern bank, the settlement of Rome sits near a prominent curve in the river, while Stephensport occupies the Kentucky side at the confluence with Sinking Creek. The upland terrain of Perry County is dominated by the German Ridge and its namesake German Ridge Recreation Area, where the German Ridge Lookout Tower once provided a vantage point over the dense woodlands and ridges like Popp Ridge and Riggs Hill.
