Roscoe and the surrounding Carbon County foothills are defined by a complex network of ranching homesteads and hydraulic engineering. This 1990s revision of earlier topography shows how water management shaped the landscape, featuring an intricate system of ditches and canals including the Selleck-Espeland Ditch, George-Dana Ditch, and the Main Canal. These waterways supported numerous family operations such as the Hyem Ranch, Old Dell Ranch, and several properties belonging to the Boggio family, including the Alex Boggio Place and Chas Boggio Ranch.
