Wasatch National Forest lands dominate the northern portion of this quadrangle, where the high-elevation terrain of Sabie Mountain gives way to the central West Tintic Mountains. The landscape is defined by a series of drainages and springs that support this arid region, including Boulter Springs in the northeast and the seasonal flow of Cherry Creek to the south. Historically significant travel corridors are visible as the Tintic Pole Line Rd and Transmission Line Rd skirt the eastern foothills, following the natural contours between mountain ranges.
