2002 Map of Saddle Mountain

USGS Topo · Published 2005

About this map

The Pine Valley Mountains dominate this landscape within the Dixie National Forest, where steep canyons and high peaks like Burger Peak define the terrain. At the dawn of the 21st century, the area remains primarily a wilderness, with the Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness boundary protecting the high ridges. Human presence is concentrated around the Diamond Valley Ranch and the open flats of Diamond Valley to the southwest, while much of the interior is accessible only by footpaths such as the Indian Hollow Spring Trail.
