Salisbury Potrero and a series of high-elevation meadows known as potreros define this portion of the Sierra Madre Mountains within Santa Barbara County. The 2012 survey illustrates a landscape managed for wilderness and grazing, where water sources like Cherry Orchard Spring and La Jolla Spring were critical for seasonal livestock and wildlife. This area is characterized by deep drainage systems such as Salisbury Canyon Wash and Trough Canyon that descend from Bull Ridge.
