2010 Map of San Luis Pass

USGS Topo · Published 2010

About this map

Deer Creek Wells and a network of livestock water tanks define this high-desert landscape in the southwest corner of Hidalgo County. During the early 21st century, the area remained dominated by large-scale ranching operations, marked by the WT Sims Ranch, Lynch Ranch, and C Eckles Ranch. The terrain is shaped by the southern reaches of the Animas Mountains and the San Luis Mountains, which converge near the strategic geographic point of San Luis Pass.
