Santa Renia Fields occupies a high-elevation basin within Elko County, defined by the drainage patterns of several seasonal creeks. The terrain is dominated by the eastern slopes of the Santa Renia Mountains, which give way to a network of draws and creek beds including Antelope Draw and the upper reaches of Antelope Creek. This landscape is characteristic of the Great Basin's basin-and-range topography, where prominent peaks like Round Mtn stand as landmarks in an otherwise open expanse of sagebrush and scrub.
