About this map

Savery and the winding Little Snake River anchor this 1930s survey of the high-altitude borderlands between Wyoming and Colorado. The landscape is defined by the Continental Divide, which separates the drainages of Sage Creek and Beaver Creek as it winds through the northern portion of the quadrangle. Significant early 20th-century infrastructure for livestock and land management is evident through the designated Stock Driveway and a network of remote administrative outposts, including the Jack Creek Ranger Sta and Sandstone Ranger Sta within the Medicine Bow Mountains.
