Sayre serves as the focal point of this southwestern Oklahoma landscape, positioned at a significant river crossing. The town is bounded to the south by the N Fork Red River, which meanders through the quadrangle and is fed by several tributaries, including Turkey Cr, Short Cr, and Long Cr. This 2012 survey illustrates the modern grid of Beckham County roads, including the intersection of major thoroughfares and the path of the C RI and P Railroad running parallel to the river valley.
