2023 Map of Scipio North

About this map

The settlement of Scipio serves as the gateway to this corner of central Utah, where the Scipio Valley meets the rising slopes of the Valley Mountains. This landscape is defined by the sharp transition from the flat agricultural basins of Millard County to the deep drainages of the mountains to the east, including Jakes Canyon, Big Hollow, and Devils Canyon. Local infrastructure follows the contours of the land, with Frontage RD and Old HWY 91 tracing the valley floor near the historic Scipio Cem. To the north, the terrain gives way to the waters of the Sevier River and the Sevier Bridge Reservoir, marking the boundary between Juab and Sanpete counties. The map captures a high-desert environment where water sources like Round Valley Creek dictate the placement of roads and homesteads on the edge of the Low Hills.
