1953 Map of Seldovia D-3

USGS Topo · Published 1955

About this map

Kenai National Moose Range occupies the vast northeastern portion of this coastal interior, where the Fox River carves a complex braided path toward the head of Kachemak Bay. The landscape is defined by the sharp transition from the tidal Mud Flat zones near Martin Creek to the high elevations of the Caribou Hills and Boxcar Hills. Settlement is sparse and subsistence-oriented, marked only by isolated Cabin locations and clusters of Cabins near Caribou Lake and the riverbanks.
