1964 Map of Selma

USGS Topo · Published 1965

About this map

The Mississippi River defines this mid-1960s boundary between Missouri and Illinois, separating the bluff-lined terrain of Jefferson County from the broad bottomlands of Monroe County. On the Missouri side, the settlement of Selma sits near the St Louis-San Francisco RR, surrounded by several family burial sites including Cook Cem, Barbour Cem, and Donnell Cem. This landscape is deeply incised by numerous hollows like Selma Hollow and Cliffdale Hollow, which drain toward the river.
