Shepherds Point and Sixtysix Mtn rise above the complex network of draws and creek beds in this Niobrara County landscape. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent high points, including Seaman Hills, Table Mtn, and the curiously named Three Tubs formation near Walker Canyon. While no major towns occupy this specific section of the high plains, the land is etched with historical livestock-hauling routes such as Hat Creek Rd and Thompson Rd, which follow the natural contours of the drainages.
