Okanogan National Forest and Mount Baker National Forest meet at a rugged administrative boundary in this 2020 survey of Washington's North Cascades. The topography is dominated by high alpine features, including the prominent peaks of Shull Mtn and Center Mtn, which frame deep drainage systems like Hells Basin. A segment of the Pacific NW National Scenic Trail traverses the landscape, connecting high-elevation crossings such as Devils Pass, Deception Pass, and Sky Pilot Pass.
