Sieber Canyon and the Little Dolores River carve deep relief through this high desert landscape, revealing a topography defined by natural stone formations and steep-walled drainages. Geologic features dominate the northern portion of the quadrangle, where Arete Arch, Bulwark Arch, and Protractor Arch stand above the drainage basins of Mee Canyon and Moore Canyon. Human footprints are minimal, limited primarily to primitive routes like A 2/10 Rd and B 5 Rd that skirt the edges of the canyon systems. This 2016 survey illustrates a landscape shaped by hydrology, where seasonal flows like Twentyeight Hole Wash and names like Twentyeight Hole suggest the critical importance of water management in an arid environment.
