Silver Star Mtn serves as the central anchor for this high-altitude survey of the Okanogan National Forest, where a dramatic network of crests and drainage basins defines the North Cascades landscape. The area is characterized by prominent ridges like Snagtooth Ridge, Kangaroo Ridge, and Vasiliki Ridge, which partition the territory into distinct watersheds. Water flows through numerous seasonal and perennial systems, including the substantial Early Winters Cr in the north and the complex Cedar Creek drainage to the south. Tucked into these high elevations are isolated water bodies such as Varden Lake and Shelokum Lake, highlighting the glaciated terrain. To the southeast, North Gardner Mtn marks one of the highest points of interest, while the presence of Driveway Butte and Delancy Ridge to the north illustrates the sawtooth topography that dominates this wilderness area.
