Santa Rosa Island forms a narrow barrier between the Santa Rosa Sound and the open waters of the Gulf of America on this coastal sheet. The landscape is dominated by the Gulf Islands National Seashore, a protected stretch that remains largely undeveloped compared to the burgeoning developments at its edges. The map documents contemporary recreational infrastructure, showing the Florida National Scenic Trl and the Florida Circumnavigational Paddling Trl traversing the length of the island alongside the State Highway 399. Settlement is concentrated at Navarre Beach, while the interior of the preserve includes established access points like Opal Beach. This survey records the delicate shoreline and primary transit routes through the dunes and marshes of the Emerald Coast in the mid-2020s.
