South Valley and East Worcester serve as the primary hubs, with the latter situated along the Delaware and Hudson RR and Brooker Hollow. The landscape is dotted with numbered district schools, such as School No 1 and School No 19, alongside several legacy family burial grounds like Sissum Cem and the Dorloo Cem.

Deep valleys carved by Snyder Creek and Oak Creek separate prominent summits like Winnie Hill and Algerine Hill. Extensive forest preserves, including the Bear Swamp State Forest and Decatur State Forest, underscore a shift toward conservation in the 1940s. Smaller hamlets like Furnaceville and Gorbicville indicate older localized industrial or residential pockets that remained visible as the 1980s updates were compiled.
