Nez Perce National Forest and the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness converge in this remote Idaho mountain landscape. The topography is defined by deep drainages and high points like Grouse Creek Point and Spread Creek Point, where numerous tributaries such as Bargamin Creek, Porcupine Creek, and Spread Creek carve through the terrain. A human presence is noted along the northern edge by the Poet Creek Campground and a scattered Campsite, connected by a network of unimproved roads and the Nez Perce Wilderness Boundary.
