St. Anthony anchors the southern edge of this central Iowa landscape where the borders of Marshall, Story, and Hardin counties meet. The terrain is defined by the winding paths of Minerva Creek and Mud Cr, which cut through the agricultural sections of the prairie. Local history and genealogy are well-represented by several small burial grounds, including Illinois Grove Cem and Bevins Grove Cem, which suggest the locations of early rural communities and family homesteads.
