The Uinta National Forest and Ashley National Forest converge in this high-altitude landscape dominated by the headwaters of the Strawberry River. The northern portion of the map is defined by the southeastern reaches of the Strawberry Reservoir, where residential development along streets like S Strawberry Pines Blvd and S Gray Owl Way meets the timbered slopes. The terrain is marked by deep drainages such as Broad Hollow, French Hollow, and Center Canyon, which drop sharply away from prominent elevations like Poison Ridge and Willow Creek Ridge. Numerous water sources, including Truck Spring, Poulson Spring, and Cabin Spring, are scattered throughout the backcountry. A network of primitive paths, such as the Ridgeline Snoma Marked Trl and the Buffalo Canyon Trl, provides access through the rugged canyons and across the middle and right forks of the White River.
