Lolo National Forest dominates this mountain landscape along the border of Sanders and Mineral Counties. This area is defined by the high crest of the C C Divide, which serves as a significant drainage separator between the waters flowing north into Dee Cr and W Fork Swamp Cr, and those moving south through the gulches. Peaks such as Sunset Peak, Sacajawea Peak, and Drury Peak provide prominent landmarks across the terrain.
