Superior serves as the focal point of this Mineral County landscape, situated along the banks of the Clark Fork river. The town's grid extends toward Riverbend to the southeast, while the surrounding terrain is defined by a complex network of gulches and mountain peaks. Much of the southern and eastern portion of the map is dominated by the Lolo National Forest, where the topography rises sharply toward Thompson Peak and the distinctive Chimney Rock.
