Okanogan National Forest covers this high-altitude landscape, dominated by the prominent peaks of the North Cascades. The terrain is defined by a series of significant elevations including Sweetgrass Butte, Sherman Peak, and Burgett Peak, which overlook a network of alpine drainages. Water flows from the high basins via Goat Creek, Panther Cr, and Eightmile Cr, with Copper Glance Lake sitting in a northern cirque below Isabella Ridge.
