The Continental Divide winds through this high-altitude landscape where Yellowstone National Park meets the Shoshone National Forest. This section of the Absaroka Range is defined by sharp peaks and steep drainage basins, including Avalanche Peak, Hoyt Peak, and Mt Stevenson. The primary corridor for travel is the E Entrance Rd, which climbs through Sylvan Pass near the waters of Sylvan Lake and Eleanor Lake.
