1966 Map of Table Rock

USGS Topo · Published 1967

About this map

The Umatilla Indian Reservation Boundary defines the western edge of this landscape, where the plateau terrain begins its ascent toward the higher elevations of Table Rock. In the mid-1960s, the area was characterized by a network of drainage systems, including McKay Creek at the southern end and the divergent forks of Coyote Creek and South Patawa Creek further north. The map reveals the transitional nature of the land, moving from the flat Table Land into the deep incisions of North Coyote Canyon and South Coyote Canyon.
