1972 Map of Tahquamenon Lakes

USGS Topo · Published 1975

About this map

Tahquamenon River State Forest and Grand Sable State Forest cover much of this landscape in Luce County, which was surveyed in the early 1970s. The terrain is defined by its staggering density of small lakes and glacial depressions, including the Tahquamenon Lakes, Belle Lakes, and the uniquely named Dishpan Lake. A network of logging-era remnants is visible through the numerous truck trails and named roads like Belle Lakes Road.
