Dot Lake sits at the heart of this Interior Alaska corridor, positioned where the Alaska Highway skirts the northern edge of the eastern Alaska Range. The landscape is defined by the massive braided channel of the Tanana River, which dominates the eastern portion of the survey. Significant elevation changes are found along the Tower Bluffs, overlooking the turbulent waters of the Tower Bluff Rapids.
